Afgelopen vrijdag kwam via het impresariaat het vervelende bericht binnen dat Schouwburg Venray een dubbele boeking had gemaakt. Iets wat uiterst vervelende consequenties zou hebben voor de Intwine show van 27 november a.s.. Het optreden van Intwine moest worden gecanceld. Er is door zowel het impresariaat als door het Intwine management nog geprobeerd of er een positief resultaat kon worden behaald, maar helaas heeft al deze inspanning niet geleidt tot doorgang van het optreden. Het optreden op 27 november in Venray gaat dus niet door. In overleg met het theater wordt gezocht naar een vervangende datum. Wij vinden dit uiterst vervelend voor alle mensen die al een kaartje hebben gekocht. Samen met ons management zijn wij aan het kijken of we de show op zeer korte termijn in een andere zaal kunnen laten plaatsvinden. Hierover houden wij jullie op de hoogte. 	Official Rumshop Dutch Press release Intwine brengt EP uit van akoestische Rumshop Sessions Terwijl Intwine's nieuwe album " Kingdom of Contradiction" zo'n 2 maanden geleden uit kwam neemt Intwine tussen de promotie en de buitenlandse shows even wat afstand en wat gas terug om in oktober de jaarlijks terugkerende theatertour, de Rumshop Sessions te ondernemen. Tijdens the Acoustic Rumshop Sessions keert Intwine terug naar hun Caribische roots. Intwine brengt akoestische versies van hun songs in diverse Caribische stijlen zoals o.a.: zouk, reggae en soka.Het publiek word tijdens deze Rumshop Sessions meegenomen op een sfeervolle muzikale reis waarbij de intieme songs zorgen voor een soms adembenemende stilte en waarbij de up-tempo songs het publiek wel uit de stoel moet komen en er een waar Caribisch carnaval ontstaat. Afgelopen jaren heeft de band the Acoustic Rumshop Sessions alleen in de theaters live ten gehore gebracht. Door de aanhoudende vraag van de fans naar materiaal heeft de band dan toch besloten om de studio in te duiken om the Acoustic Rumshop Sessions vast te leggen. De EP " the Acoustic Rumshop Sessions" zal tijdens de tour verschijnen in en limited edition uitvoering. 	We regretfully inform...... We regretfully inform you that as of today, Pablo Penton will no longer be a part of Intwine. Due to Pablo's previous obligations (among others Alain Clark), it was impossible for Pablo to provide the commitment needed for this band. This has not been an easy decision, especially with future prospects in mind. We will not stray from our previously planned Rumshop tour in Oct and Nov nor our following European tour, these shows will be played with sit in bassists. Intwine will utilize this period to find a kickass permanent bassist. Tot onze spijt moeten we jullie mededelen dat Pablo Penton vanaf heden geen deel meer uitmaakt van de band Intwine. Er is van beide kanten gezocht naar een passende oplossing, helaas ter vergeefs. Door de werkdruk van Pablo's andere projecten (oa Alain Clark) was het voor Pablo niet mogelijk om de commitment te leveren die, zeker op dit moment, nodig is voor een band als Intwine. Het is geen makkelijke beslissing geweest zeker met de kijk op de nabije toekomst, zo begint volgende maand de Rumshop Session tour en is er een op handen staande Europese tour, toch zal de band de ingeslagen weg blijven volgen en de optredens doen met een invaller. 	Kingdom of Contradiction moves up to the number 7 spot, new release dates, tour announcement... Hope you all had a great weekend, we had a blast playing the Rockspektakel festival in Hamburg last Friday.Thanks to everyone that came out to see us! The week starts off great with Kingdom of Contradiction moving up to the number 7 spot on the German Rock/Metal chart. Then some release news; as you all know Kingdom of Contradiction had it's release on the 14 of August in Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria and Holland. On the 16th of October it’ll be released in the rest of Europe and in January 2010 USA, Australia and Japan will follow. New tours are also in the works, after the Rumshop Sessions tour here in Holland we are heading out into Europe and in the beginning of 2010 plans are being made to do some touring in the US. 	New album "Kingdom Of Contradiction" of INTWINE - in stores Aug 14th! Hollands finest INTWINE is proud to announce that they have recently sealed a new international multialbum deal with the internationally working record label "Tiefdruck-Musik". "We here at Tiefdruck are very proud to have the chance to work with such a creative and talented band as INTWINE.", states Tiefdruck-Musik CEO and General Manager Daniel Heerdmann. "Seeing the band at a live concert, it took less than a minute to understand what potential lies within the musicians and songs. It was very hard for us to understand why this band has not already been as successful all over the world as they obviously are in Holland, looking at the ecstatic crowds the band pulls at one of their shows. We feel honoured and blessed to release the new album of INTWINE worldwide.", Daniel Heerdmann continues. After the success of the first efforts of the band, "*Intwine" (2003), "Perfect" (2004) and "Pyrrhic Victory" (2006), Tiefdruck-Musik* asked the band to introduce themselves to the rest of the world with a compilation of their biggest successes. "*Kingdom Of Contradiction" is a compilation of 16 songs that proved before to be hits - but also to keep the local fans in mind INTWINE* re-recorded all tracks in new versions. "We spoke to our friends and fans and spend a lot of time discussing which songs to re-record, but I think we came up with quite a good collection of songs where everybody will find its own favourite." explains guitarist Jacob Streefkerk. The first single, outside of Holland will be a double A-side feature of the heavy song "*Perfect" and a new recording of "Walking On The Moon" which features Sarah Bettens, known as the singer of Belgiums best music export Ks Choice. "We decided for "Walking On The Moon" (original "Police" classic) as the first single in Holland, because it reflects the last 7 years in a perfect way, and it is also a new track for our long-time fans at home, and "Perfect" for the rest of the world, because we wanted to introduce ourselves as what we are, a heavy rocking metal band." "Walking On The Moon" will be released on August 07th~ 2009. "Kingdom Of Contradiction" will be at the stores on August 14th 2009. Both releases will also be available as download. 	INTERVIEWS, REVIEWS AND MORE.... It's the start of a new week and we have some stuff we thought we should share with all of you.... METAL HAMMER Das Deutschland-Debüt KINGDOM OF CONTRADICTION der Niederländer Intwine ist ein Album, das etwas Zeit braucht – was nicht alleine durch die mehr als einstündige Spielzeit begründet ist. Diese CD entfaltet ihre volle Wirkung erst nach mehrfachem Hören. Der erste Durchlauf ruft noch keine Begeisterungsstürme hervor, sondern eher ein neutrales Schulterzucken. Doch die Stimme von Sänger Roger Peterson ist nicht zu verachten, und waren da nicht auch ein paar eingängige Refrains? Beim zweiten konzentrierten Hören macht es schließlich langsam Klick. Wenn man die meist sehr sphärischen Melodien, die von drückenden Gitarren, Ska-Rhythmen und hier und da auch mal indischen Klängen ergänzt werden, bewusst auf sich wirken lässt, stellt man sich schnell die Frage: Warum findet die Band erst sechs Jahre nach ihrer Gründung den Weg nach Deutschland? Aber egal: Zum Glück sind sie jetzt hier angekommen und präsentieren experimentellen Alternative Rock mit Ohrwurmcharakter, wie man ihn schon lange nicht mehr gehört hat. Neben vielen neuen Stücken befinden sich auf dem Album auch einige Songs ihrer älteren Platten (‘Perfect’, ‘Cruel Man’), wodurch man die Band sozusagen von Anfang an kennen lernen kann. Also nehmt euch ein bisschen Zeit für Intwine – es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Ihr neues Album erscheint jetzt auch bei uns, und das ist gut so! Das Quintett aus Coffeeshop-Country besticht nämlich mit erstklassigem Crossover, der enorm viel Dynamik zwischen unkitschig-gefühlvollen Passagen und fett groovenden Attacken besitzt. Das Wichtigste dabei: Der Sound wirkt zu keinem Zeitpunkt gekünstelt. Tief gestimmte Nu-Metal-Riffs treffen auf Tool´schen Atmo-Prog, vereinzelte Reggae/Dub/Breakbeat-Rhythmen und einen markanten Gesang, der an HR (Bad Brains) erinnert. As some of you may know i also play with Alain Clark's band so there is a slight possibility that i can't make one of the shows, hence the reason why we've taken precautions in advance "IF" that ever comes to happen. 	NEW PRESS RELEASE (taken from dutch newspaper) *Intwine* heeft met 2008 een rumoerig jaar achter de rug. De ene tegenslag volgt de andere op en na het besluit om de muzikale koers van het vorige album verder door te trekken, werd ook een bandwisseling onvermijdelijk. Echter, de vechtersmentaliteit van de bandleden en de frisse wind die er is gaan waaien met de nieuwe bandleden, zorgen voor een Intwine wat muzikaal laat horen dat het meer dan ooit staat als een huis. Het album: “Kingdom of Contradiction” is speciaal voor de internationale markt opgenomen. Er is voor de release een contract met het Duitse label Tiefdruck musik/Universal gesloten die de plaat in het voorjaar van 2009 op de internationale markt zal brengen.“Kingdom of Contradiction” is het resultaat van een zware periode. Een periode waar veel voor de band is veranderd. De sound van het album is een stuk feller, gevarieerder en melancholischer en laat een nog volwassener gezicht van Intwine zien. Speciaal voor dit album zijn een aantal oude werken voorzien van nieuw jasje en met behulp van producer Jochem Jacobs (o.a. Textures, Autumn.) op schijf gezet. Voordat de band in het komend voorjaar gaat touren in Duitsland en de rest van Europa doet het een aantal clubs in Nederland aan met exclusieve try outs. “We doen deze try outs omdat met dit album ons werk een heel andere lading heeft gekregen dan ons voorgaande werk. Deze songs staan nu meer dan ooit tevoren zeer nauw na ons hart. Er zit een hoop bloed, zweet en tranen in deze productie en we willen niets liever dan ze aan het publiek laten horen. We zijn benieuwd naar de reacties die de fans zullen hebben op de nieuwe sound en dit album”. Intwine zal in 2009 meer dan ooit te voren laten horen dat het een rockband is waar internationaal rekening mee moet worden gehouden.
